Била съм на над 400 сватби, но на всички съм била фотограф. И когато мои близки решиха да се женят, ми казаха, че искат на тяхната сватба да не съм на работа. Обясних им, че аз обичам да снимам и за мен това не е точно работа, но сега съм им признателна, че ми подариха това преживяване. Беше прекрасно, една от най-хубавите сватби, на които съм била. И ми беше трудно да не снимам. Много трудно! Виждах моменти навсякъде, виждах как пада светлината, как някой плаче от щастие, как децата тичат по поляната. И разбрах за себе си, че аз и фотографията не сме две отделни неща. Сякаш осъзнах тогава колко много обичам да снимам. Дори само с очи, без камера. Да запечатвам образи в съзнанието си, мигове, които отминават. Подарих им няколко снимки на филм среден формат.

I have been to over 400 weddings, but I was the photographer at all of them. When close friends of mine decided to get married, they told me they wanted me not to work at their wedding. I explained to them that I love taking photos and to me, it is not really work, but I am grateful they gave me this experience. It was wonderful, one of the best weddings I have ever been to.
And it was hard for me not to take pictures. Very hard! I saw moments everywhere - I saw how the light fell, how someone cried with happiness, how the children ran in the meadow. And I realized for myself that photography and I are not two separate things. It was as if I realized then how much I love taking photos. Even just with my eyes, without a camera. Capturing images in my mind, fleeting moments that pass by.
I gifted them a few medium-format film photos, which I am showing you now. The camera is a Mamiya 7 ii, the films are Kodak Portra 160 and 400, and Kodak Gold. The location is Madzharovo. I love Maria and Nasko very much and I wish them all the happiness they can possibly handle!
