time and place - when and where each part of the day will take place (preparation, ceremony, dinner, party)
what ceremony are you having - civil, church?
During the civil ceremony, it is most beautiful and meaningful when you are facing each other. The civil person or presenter of the ceremony is to your side, and the table is there (not in front of you), unless the presenter is a friend of yours, then they can be between you. Look at each other, look at the guests, don't look at the presenter of the ceremony. Make sure there are no people behind the arch. If it's on the beach, help limit access to people behind the arch. Many beach goers stand to watch the ceremony from the sand behind and between you and in the water. Ask the planners or someone close to you to follow up on this.
Best time to do the portraits of the two of you is as close to the sunset as we can get. It is your choice how much time you will dedicate to these photos, usually 20-30 minutes is best, maximum 40 minutes. This way you won't be away from your guests for a long time and we will have enough time to take few good photos of the two of you. Have in mind, that if we have 15 minutes in good light around sunset, that equals shooting for more than an hour when the sun is high at noon and the result when we do it in the good light is much better.
usually take place after the ceremony
If you want an art session where we can calmly do different things in a beautiful place, in good light, then this is the session on a separate day. Then you don't have to worry about your schedule, guests and relatives. The best option is to spend 15-20 minutes on the wedding day for some portraits, and the rest of the time to spend with your guests. If there is a place sentimentally connected to you or related to your profession, it will be interesting to take the photos there. It can be anywhere, it can be a walk somewhere, it can be related to you, a hobby or a profession, for example an airport, a small village or a computer room. Anywhere can be a good place for photos, and if it is new and interesting for me, I will be happy! Cafe, museum, library. It can also be like a story, you go somewhere and something happens to you, you try something for the first time, skydiving?! or just waking up with breakfast in bed.
